What is a SAP Eval

A Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluation is a federally required assessment for employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol regulations.

SAP services are required before an employee can return to safety-sensitive duties such as:

  • Commercial driving (CDL/FMCSA)
  • Aviation (FAA)
  • Pipeline operations
  • Transit systems
