EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based mental health therapy that aids the brain in processing and healing from distressing or traumatic experiences. At times, painful memories can feel “stuck,” continuously triggering intense emotions, negative beliefs, or physical reactions. Through guided bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, EMDR facilitates the reprocessing of those memories, reducing their emotional intensity and supporting trauma recovery.
Many clients discover that EMDR provides relief more quickly than traditional talk therapy alone. The aim is not to erase memories, but to help them feel less overwhelming, enabling you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and calm.
