About the Counselor

Jennifer Wallace LPC is a Texas-licensed counselor specializing in adult counseling in Polk County, working with adolescents, teens, and adults as they navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. As a military veteran, she combines her clinical training with a lived understanding, particularly in her work with service members, veterans, first responders, and through her first responder counseling services.

She earned her master’s degree from Walden University and completed advanced training in EMDR therapy in 2025. Additionally, she is trained in TF-CBT and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), recognizing the long-term impact of cumulative stress and high-intensity experiences.

Her clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy. She believes that therapy should provide both support and structure, creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard while gaining practical tools and meaningful insight. When appropriate, she utilizes structured trauma-processing methods to help clients safely work through distressing experiences at a manageable pace, making her a valuable PTSD therapist in East Texas.

As a therapist, she values steadiness, clarity, and collaboration. Clients often appreciate her calm presence, direct communication style, and respect for the strength it takes to seek support. She also offers telehealth therapy in Texas to ensure accessible counseling.

Jen believes that healing does not mean losing your edge, but it does require the right environment to do the necessary work.
