Understanding Trauma Beyond Symptoms
Traumatic experiences can affect more than thoughts and memories. They can influence emotions, physical sensations, beliefs about ourselves, relationships, and the way we respond to stress.
The 5 Neuro Pathway (5NP) Protocol is a structured trauma treatment approach designed to identify and address multiple pathways through which distressing experiences continue to impact daily life. Rather than focusing solely on symptom management, the goal is to help clients process unresolved experiences and develop healthier, more adaptive responses.

The 5NP Protocol may be beneficial for individuals experiencing:
Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment of your history, current symptoms, strengths, and treatment goals.
Using the 5NP framework, we identify how past experiences may be affecting:
Sessions are tailored to your needs, pace, and readiness for trauma processing.
Many people develop coping strategies that help them survive difficult experiences. However, those same strategies can later contribute to anxiety, avoidance, emotional overwhelm, or feeling "stuck."
The 5NP Protocol helps uncover the underlying patterns driving these reactions and supports the development of healthier responses. Treatment focuses on both symptom reduction and long-term healing.
As an EMDR-trained therapist, I often integrate principles of the 5 Neuro Pathway Protocol with other evidence-based approaches when clinically appropriate.
Both approaches recognize that traumatic experiences can become stored in ways that continue to affect present-day functioning. By addressing these experiences directly, clients often experience relief from symptoms while building greater resilience and confidence.
As a veteran and trauma-focused therapist, I understand the profound impact trauma can have on daily life, relationships, and overall well-being.
I provide trauma-informed care for adolescents and adults struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, military trauma, first responder stress, and other life challenges. Treatment is collaborative, individualized, and focused on helping you move toward meaningful and lasting change.
